Tony Edward Jenkins of Hattiesburg was born June 17, 1930 and died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at home. Mr. Jenkins, a retired CMSgt and recipient of the Legion of Merit, served a highly decorated 26-year US Air Force career. He then retired in Hattiesburg where he was employed by Lefebure Banking Equipment and as a real estate appraiser. He was a member of the Northeast Lamar Fire Department Board and Main Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacey Jenkins Lanier; a sister, Maidene Jenkins, 3 brothers, Walter Jenkins Jr, Denver Jenkins, and David Jenkins; parents, Walter Jenkins Sr and Nora Jenkins. He is survived by his wife of 61 ½ years, Bettye Williams Jenkins; daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Shelby Price of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Shannon Price, Steven Price, and Stanton Price, all of Vicksburg; 3 sisters; 2 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10 am Saturday, June 21 at the Northeast Lamar Fire Station, 753 Weathersby Road
