Leslie Leon Williamson

It is with great sorrow the family of Leslie Leon Williamson announces his passing on January 20th at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg. He was born June 1, 1947, to Estus and Nonnie Williamson. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Benton "Carroll" Williamson and Infant sister, Ann Williamson. Leslie Leaves a legacy of his son and daughter in law, Scottie and Sissy Moree; his baby sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Hubert Buckley; grands, Hailey and Trevor Sones, Kaela and Brandon Cooper, Eddie Bear O'Conner and Khloe Kate Cooper; partner in crime and best friend, Ginny along with nephews and nieces, Chris and Heather Williamson, Polan and Misty Buckley Jr, Samantha and Gilman Giles and Leslie and Kate Buckley; extended family and friends. Leslie will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, brother, proud patriot and distinguished US Army Veteran. His experience in the Army played a very important role in his life. It taught him the value of discipline, teamwork and a cause larger than himself. His awards and accomplishments during his serve time were National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Expert Rifle Medal and Sharpshooter Medal. His biggest accomplishment was his family, the love he had for them was untouchable.
